PERSONALITY

Lucy in a sense is a quite woman when you first get to know her. She is observant and rather an inward thinker when it comes to most social situations. However, once you get to know her, she can be either your best friend or your worst enemy. She is a strong willed woman who has her whole life planned out before her as if she couldn't do anything else to derail her plans. Once one gets to know Lucy, they can then see that she is not the quite and stoic little mouse she pretends to be. She hides her strength so she can assess most situations. She is like this in both the online world and the real world. However, the one thing that separates 'Luca' from 'Lucy' is that with 'Luca', she is able to move about freely and do things she normally cannot do. Due to her accident years ago, she is confined to a wheelchair. However, her inability to walk did not derail her and she still keeps up a positive attitude about it all.

Lucy also has a weird sense of humor underneath her observant nature. If she finds something funny, she'll amuse herself with thinking about it or just show others to get them to smile. While she can be a bit abrupt at times, she does mean well in all she does. Her kind nature can be apparent around those she deems close to her and fond of. However, get on the bad side of her and you will see the cold-hearted Lucy that others don't normally see. She can be blunt and indecisive, wanting to please everybody while knowing full well she cannot. When she fights, she always fights for her life due to being trapped within the game of SAO. When she found out she cannot log out, she was frightened at first, having heard about the happenings before she came to Japan, but then soon accepted it as truth. She accepts things easily as they are. Nobody is sure if this is a defense mechanism of hers that allows her to just go with the flow or just how her mind automatically takes things. There are times Lucy doesn't appear to be sane, but that is due to having been trapped within the game and knowing that if she dies here, she dies in the real world.

Lucy will do everything in her power to save whoever she can while also keeping her life intact. However, if the need came for it, she'd put her life on the line to save another. At her core she is kind and generous, however, due to her life thus far and her life in the game, she has taken on a somewhat darker personality over the course. She has no problem doing what needs to be done to get her end result. She is not one to cheat, but she will come close to it if she has to. Due to her loving technology, she is clever in data work and numbers. Since she works mostly as a computer programmer and somewhat of a video game programmer on the side, she is fluent in codes and often tries to hack the system (though she fails 90% of the time due to how the game is designed). If she suddenly gets distant, that's simply because she is too lost within her own thoughts to do much more in social situations.

HISTORY

Luciana Bane was born to two doctors who traveled for their work. They worked in many hospitals around the countries of Japan, America, England, and Canada. Lucy moved alot, so she wasn't able to make as many friends as she would have liked, but she always loved the places she went and vowed to see them all and more again some day. As a child, she was taught different languages to help fit in with where they were going, though in the entirety, it was mostly just English speaking countries. She learned to love the world and cherish her times in the places she visited. As she grew older, Lucy found she loved computers and how they worked. Her mind simply was fascinated with how they could make virtual reality. A world that felt and seemed real and yet wasn't? It was her goal to make such a game. She had heard about the incident regarding SAO the first time, and felt she could try to make a difference, but with how things went and were then rectified, she never got a chance to help.

She then grew to be fascinated with video games, spending her time with her head in her phone as she worked on codes for new effects to use for different programs she was trying to complete. Weeks went by and she went on and on from there. She graduated high school in Japan at the top of her class as she then went on to go to collage within Japan. She loved the country. The history and culture rang true with her. Though technically she was British, she still adored the culture presented to her with all of her being. She made friends and even went out with a few people in her time thus far in collage. However, all of that went wrong when she wasn't watching where she was going one rainy night. She had been out late to get a drink from the vending machine across the street. She liked the juice in it. As she came to pull up her phone like usual, she didn't see the car come speeding towards her, unable to stop due to how slick the roads were with the rain. All she remembers of the accident was the lights that came upon her and her parents looking down at her in her hospital bed.

She found out soon after that that the accident left her unable to walk and paralyzed from the hips down. She was depressed after that, locking herself away in her room to play video games and bury herself in her room. She was left to live with her parents who moved closer to her collage so she could still attend. However, Lucy soon picked up the new SAO and wanted to try it out. The time within the game for the first couple months was the best times she's had so far within her life. She soon checked out Alfheim and Gun Gale, loving it all. She returned to SAO due to the sword style she found she liked. However, after The Game Master showed up, she found out she was stuck within the game like those in the past were. At first she was having a panic attack, but after her logical mind took over and calmed her down, she accepted it all as just her truth and readied herself to go down the road to help save the others along with herself. She carries on in the world now with a calm and observant mind, forming strategy after strategy as she goes to save her own skin most of the time. At this time she hasn't allied herself with a guild, but she is beginning to think about joining one.
